All Aboard, located in Everett, WA, offers activities in Art, Advanced Art, Reading, Cooking, Bowling, Exercise, Music/Karaoke, S.P.I.N. Dance, Sewing, and a Movie Day.

We provide recreational and educational, as well as social activities for adults with special needs. Currently All Aboard serves the age range of 19-70 years. The majority of our participants are 25 to 45 years old.

The Young Adult Achievement Center

For young adults, ages 18-30, with acquired or developmental disabilities.

EADS is a nonprofit agency that’s been caring for adults with disabilities. Founded in 1983, our mission is to help adults with disabilities enjoy rich, meaningful lies by providing therapies that help them overcome barriers created by their disabilities.

Who we serve: EADS serves adults with mild to profound physical and cognitive disabilities. Our center-based approach allows us to offer social, educational and functional programming that is fun, engaging and therapeutic for all.

Island Times Activities is located on Bainbridge Island, WA with the mission to promote independence and empowerment for people with intellectual disabilities through social networking, community involvement, and personal skill development.

At Island Time Activities we believe that we are all respectable, strong, worthy people and that life is an occasion that we should rise to and celebrate. All our activities empower and teach independence as well as how to function in a helping community of people.

Live! – Day Program | Redmond, WA

A local non-profit called Live! has partnered with the City of Redmond to provide a full-time adult day program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Schedule: M-F from 9am-4pm.

Registration: Done through the City of Redmond. The City of Redmond is contracted with DSHS for billing purposes.

Participants may register for as many or as few day as they like.

Northwest Child

Northwest’s Child provides a safe nurturing place for children, teens and adults with moderate to severe special needs. For our school aged clients our program is a valuable extension to each student’s school day and increases their chances at mastering the many goals they strive to achieve.

For our adult clients, our program takes the place of school with an emphasis on life skills, community interactionand building relationships with peers. Our program encourages vocational, social, and educational growth in a variety of ways, including volunteer opportunities, field trips, and working with individual education plans. Our clients are continually learning, building friendships and gaining a stronger sense of community.

Seattle Children’s Alyssa Burnett Adult Life Center was created to help meet the important needs of adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities as they age out of the education system. The Burnett Adult Life Center hosts year-round classes for adults age 18 or older. Tavon Center Day Program for Young Adults with Disabilities – Issaquah, WA

Tavon fills the transition gap for young adults who have graduated from high school and are working towards employment. The focus is on horticultural therapy.

Tavon Center is located on 5 acres in Issaquah with working gardens. Vocational skill development, stimulating activities and a community of friends.

Bainbridge Island Special Needs Foundation

The Stephens House was established in 2002 by the Bainbridge Island Special Needs Foundation (BISNF).

Stephens House We operate a day program for young adults with developmental disabilities, focusing on quality of life enhancements. Our goals are to increase physical health, mental well-being and social interaction for  participants, while providing respite for caregivers. The program also offers training and practice in life skills and appropriate social behaviors.

Activities include field trips, swimming and daily exercises, art projects, computer learning, and small work contracts for local businesses. Two staff work full-time, plus numerous local volunteers provide support. We are funded primarily through private and public grants, and individual donations.
